Bruce Willis has been photographed recently for the first time in nearly two years since being diagnosed with dementia.
On the Thanksgiving Day, the actor of the “Die Hard” films’ daughters, Tallulah and Scout Willis, who was Moore’s daughter, too, posted the warm Thanksgiving’s photos on Instagram on Thursday.
In the snaps, Willis, 69, held a nameplate that read “Best Dad Ever” as his daughters posed with him on a couch.
The two sisters who posted the photos together added caption “Grateful” to the post. The couple’s eldest daughter Rumer Willis, a talented actress and a finalist of “Dancing with the Stars” show, was not captured in the photos.
In March 2022, the family asked Willis to withdraw from Acting as he battles aphasia. Around another year later in february 2023, they made a health update regarding Willis informing his fans that he had dementia.
A message posted on the Instagram accounts of wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Moore and daughter Rumer Willis stated:
The first that our family would like to say is a heartfelt thank for all the love and support and numerous wonderful stories that we received after the time when Bruce was diagnosed with cancer.
They continued: “We had shared news in spring 2022 that Bruce had aphasia For roughly six months Since then Bruce has worsened and we now have a new diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (FTD).”
He has frontotemporal dementia, a brain condition arising from the degeneration of the frontal lobe in the brain.
In an article for the Vogue magazine that she penned down last year, Tallulah Willis revealed that she had known that she was ailing for a long time before her father took his health for granted.
“It started out with a kind of vague unresponsiveness, which the family chalked up to Hollywood hearing loss: ‘Speak up! One of her followers, Tallullah Willis, wrote: “‘Die Hard’ f****d with Dad’s ears.” ‘Later that unresponsiveness expanded and I occasionally felt that the let down was directed at me.’
