‘Monday Night Football’ Highlights: Joe Mixon Scores 3 Tds As Texans Continue To Humiliate Cowboys In Dallas

The Houston Texans were victorious against their interstate rival the Dallas Cowboys to conclude Week 11 in the NFL by a score of 34-10.

Joe Mixon rushed for 109 yards and had three touchdowns for the Texans. C.J. Stroud threw for 257 yards while passing for 23 of 34 attempts.

The Cowboys’ offense was a problem. Cooper Rush, who started in place of Dak Prescott who was injured, threw for 354 yards on 32 of 55 passing.

Rush was thrown for five sacks and was also intercepted once. Dallas was 5 out of 19 on third and fourth downs. Houston began the game with a six-play, 77 yard drive and scored a touchdown on its first possession to take the lead 7-0.

The Cowboys could not get a first down after a fake punt on their first possession, then the quarterbacks traded interceptions on the next two drives.

However, the Texans committed a mistake and the team calmed down with a 10-play, 63-yard play to score a Mixon touchdown. Dallas responded with a 64-yard touchdown pass from Gray to KeVontae Turpin three plays later to make the score 14-7.

Each team scored field goals before the half and Houston led 17-10 at the break. The Texans would then tally the next 17 points through a field goal drive, a fumble return for a touchdown and finally Mixon’s last touchdown in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

The win put paid to a two-game losing streak for Houston. The Texans are currently at the summit of AFC South, a position that is two games ahead of the Colts.

Week 12: Houston will face Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cowboys have now been defeated in their last four games. Their next game is scheduled for the Washington Commanders.
